Park Model Questions

More specifically any RV/ParkModel that is mostly permanent.

Basically I am thinking of the RV lifestyle but renting moving services about twice a year.

So with that, what are the pros and cons of going Park Model over Trailer in such a situation.

The pro I can think of with a trailer or 5th wheel is if I change my mind I can always buy a truck and hit the road.

Park Model I have no idea what the advantages may be in this context.

Insight is helpful.

Thanks

That is what makes them park models. Basically it's a mobile home.

yep, a mobile home but limited to 399 sq ft IIRC. I looked at them in a campground in the Wisconsin Dells region and a lot of them had screened porches/rooms abutting them, could not be fastened to the park model, just touching. also many had a "storage attic" to exceed the area restriction. Much nicer IMHO than a TT but as stated, rarely have it moved.

I've always thought Park Models were designed to basically be moved once... from dealer to campground. Then they are "installed" at the campsite with plumbing and electric.

I am interested in reading other replys!
  • Park models usually don't have holding tanks so your site could be limited as to the type of park used.
