Its for the same reason I don't stop at truck stops (even for fuel), they are almost always dirty, oily, and spilled diesel on the ground. Not to mention ... dragging all that same dirt into my camper and truck carpet!
Solution? I just don't use truck stops!
Pretty hard to avoid both rest stops and truck stops if one travels much but I guess that is easier than asking people to quit making a mess.
Problem is, people AREN'T going to change. It's only going to get worse. And if you point out their inconsiderate behavior, they are quick to call you judgmental, mind your own business, and politically incorrect because they are a protected class. (yea .. that actually happened to me. I fired back and said told them I was an Army Veteran and served so they have the privilege of being morons. That went over like a led balloon!) You can't rationalize with a-moral people!
