passing signal
I understand that in Mexico the truckers turn on their left signal to let you know that it is safe to pass. We in the US. ought to start doing that.

Trust the judgement of no other driver, especially if your vehicle is making the abnormal move. That includes passing, left hand turns, or any situation where questionable right of way is involved. You can't prove after the fact that any other driver signaled to you that they were yielding right of way and they CANNOT give you the right of way of a third party.
