Patio rug blowing away?

Not sure what type of mat you has but mine is light, fold easy as the creases remain, water goes right through and it cleans up easy. Glad you found something that works for you though.

I threw out those heavy RV mats years ago. They get dirty, stinky and wet and are 'real' hard to fold to put into the bays.

I went to the store and bought shade cloth. Comes by the yard. You can buy enough to run the entire length of your RV is you want. For tent stakes with flat washer and it isn't going to move. Mine survived a tornado going thru the CG. Stayed right where I put it! :B

Water goes right thru so you don't slip like on the RV mat. IMHO looks nicer and the best part is it fold ups into a 12 inch square when you are ready to stow it away. If you have to hose it down before you leave it air dries in minutes so you aren't putting a stinky wet mat in your MH.

When we go to FL for the winter, I go to Wal-Mart and purchase four plants such as geraniums or begonias and put them in pots to set on the corners of our patio rug to prevent it from blowing away. When we are ready to come home I put them in the shower and bring them home to plant in my planter boxes to enjoy all summer.

I use the camping stakes that are a big washer and nail. I can't fathom putting out water jugs to hold an RV mat down! :B

As far as the concrete sites go if it's that windy the mat simply is not put down.

I have large 40d nails that I use with fender washers that work very well, BUT I DO NOT USE them on a concrete slab!
Small plastic coffee cans filled with sand will effectively hold the rug in place in all but the strongest winds.

If there is a pad or crushed stone on the sire we do not put the rug out, anything to cut down on set up and take down.

I tried using nails but the concrete pad kept making them bend....:S....Dennis
