Pet Peeves in RV Parks

At the risk of sounding like an old grouch, lets lay out our gripes about camping in RV Parks. I'm currently on Galvestion Texas for a month. Things were quiet until this truck and old camper pulled in next to me alast night. The guy is a door slamber. A constant door shut niose went on for at least two hours. He has a bunch of kids that were also loud but I can overlook that. Kids will be kids. Why didn' he leave his doors open while he set up. Then there is another neighbor who fires up a truck with loud pipes and lets it run forever. These are my two gripes of the day. Seems like every park you stay in has has the loud truck start up and idle. Part of the problem is sites are so close together. Anyone else?

Why? Maybe it makes you feel better, Ranting often does.
But complaining on this forum about what is going on at your RV park does nothing to solve the problem.
If you want to do something useful have a talk with the neighbor, otherwise get some ear plugs and realize the CG is open to the public and not your private property.
As long as you are camping with others there will be human interactions.
If you want to be alone and play by your rules only, then find a nice isolated boon docking spot.
Otherwise learn to play with others....
  • The truck with loud pipes and a "driver" that spends half hour geeing and hawing to get trailer into site.
And don't cars/trucks have any way to lock the doors without making noise, flashing lights? One of mine can be locked with remote, and show off what cool snot I have, but I can get out, push a button, close the door, it's locked.
If you are afraid of dark, stay in town.
  • Campsites lit up like Las Vegas all night long. This is to include the super bright LEDs on front of campers that are left on all night long. Wife made blackout curtains we can easily put up in these situations.

Loud drunken parties going on well after quiet hours, Last Easter the party went on until 2:30ish AM. Wife and I didn't notice it. Our son was in a tent next to the party site. 24 hour ranger number is posted on SC Park bathrooms doors, so now we make sure we have that number available.
  • Music - If I can hear your music at my site it is too loud !
