Pic of wrangler with tow bar base plate installed?

I am considering a class C and using my 4 door wrangler as a toad since I already have it and they are supposedly easy to tow.
I'm not crazy about the idea of permanently attaching a baseplate to my daily driver - especially if it's obvious when not being tower (or if there is any negative affect on off-road use).

Can anyone show pictures of a newer model Wrangler with base plate installed? What does it do to the front of the jeep?
  • Here is a quick picture of my 2013 Wrangler with a Blue Ox baseplate and Ready Brake cables. The inside ends of the cables disconnect from the brake pedal allowing enough slack to hide the outside loops. Looks like I'm overdue for some rust cleanup and black touchup paint though.
  • I thought I had a better picture, but this is all I can find of my 2002 with a Roadmaster set up. All of the hardware you see in the photo pulls off with two pins leaving just the base plates bolted to each frame rail which aren't going to be in your way at all. Holding down the Control key and hitting the + key several times will let you blow up the picture some

  • I will look there again but the only pic I saw (on the install instructions) didn't show much.
  • Go to blue ox and you can find a pic of most anything with a base plate
