Best to follow you TV OEM's manual on what to do about WD transfer. They designed

Today's suspensions are much more sophisticated and DIFFERENT from OEM to OEM

to all
Key is to keep the under-steer designed in by the OEM. An over-steer condition
is not a good thing for towing...GREAT for The Fast and Furious types... ;)
The final setup goal is to have the TV leveled/loaded via the WD Hitch system
to the TV OEM's manual spec
The trailer should be level at its highest pointing to pointing slightly down
This is just orientation...the ratings is another thing...
Ben,
I just spent a few minutes looking online at the Tundra owner manual, and at the general towing guideline manual from Toyota. I have to say these are the most vague, poorly written "manuals" I have ever seen for this towing information. The towing manual does not mention at all how to set up the WD hitch, and the owner manual says, "when using a WD hitch, the truck should be level".
WTH kind of instruction is that ? Honestly, it sounds like they want to be vague so they can deny any responsibility if the consumer gets into a bind.
To Roy, for what it's worth, the way Nissan defines it ( not that this applies to Toyota ) is that the front height needs to be returned to either stock height, or as much as 1/2" higher than stock. At least in the case of my Nissan, getting the height back to a measured in inches stock height equals stock weight as well at the scales.
I think GM and maybe Ford now are stating restoring the weight in pounds to "at least 50% of what was removed" ( or words to that effect ).
If I may speak for Ben, I think that is what he is implying: that each manufacturer may have their own recommendations, and that further, I know of NO manufacturers that are saying to load the front heavier than stock.
