GMW...you sure can, as am in agreement...
One of the issues and of confusion...is that what works for one brand/badge might will
work for another OEM...heck betcha even within the same OEM...they may have
differing instructions for various product lines of different GVWR's
There is no 'one size fits all' here on towing adjustments
Why I say "check YOUR TV's manual", but think need to add: "forget what works
for WXY brand/badge...it does NOT apply to any-other brand/badge"
I've seen newbies on these freebie forums get run around in circles following
advice for other brand/badged...adjusting all of the dials/knobs without a
big picture (goal) of where they should end up...think some end up worse off
The absolutism of it works for me, therefore it will for you...that X number of
links will work for you, or X on the trailer brake controller works for me and
should work for you, or X number of washers work for me and should work for you,
or X number of holes down on the shank works for me and should work for you...ETC
Again, nope...there is no 'one size fits all' here
The 60,000 foot view or goal is to have the TV drop/weight distributed/etc per
'YOUR' manual and that the trailer should be level at its highest pointing or
pointed slightly down. That all of or most of the discussions are over
dials/knobs (adjustments) for the final setup (goal)
Then of course the RATINGs thing...
Whether believe in them or not...then do whatever if you don't...or if do, follow them
knowing that fine print modifies the numbers in the charts
