I understand. Your trailer is quite a bit larger than mine as well. That thing is a beast.
Did some more measuring today.... I took some junk out of my truck. Another box of tools (50lbs?), the wood (to add ballast during testing), I found my other hitch bouncing around back there (20-30 lbs), and a couple other odds and ends. I drove to work and used maybe 1/4 tank of gas (40 lbs).
I measured the truck and the rear is up 3/4", almost 1" compared to last night. The front...get this, is lower. Apparently when the truck has a couple hundred lbs over rear axle the front raises 1/4". that seems like a lot to me. Now I am worried I may have to drop the ball one hole if my rear ballast doesn't equal as much as I took out. 2 kids and a dog will be sitting in the middle of the truck vs the rear. Now it has me wondering what the difference will be. Fun stuff.
