picking up at airport

The cell lot a TIA is definitely big enough to park the RV although there are not any large vehicle (bus,etc)spaces. You would be parking across automobile spaces. If the lot is not busy you will be fine, but I have seen the lot busy enough where you may not find enough spaces. There is not problem with height limits.
Adjacent to the airport(southeast corner) is the International Plaza (mall) with plenty of parking, and a mile or so south down Westshore Blvd is another mall (Westshore Mall). I have seen buses park in both. The International Plaza would be easiest and closer than Westshore Mall. a good backup if the cell lot is full.

There's a couple of Walmarts quite close to Tampa International. Surely they would let you park there for a few hours...???

Been years since I've been at that airport but I'd call it directly to find out if they've space for an RV pulling a toad wanting to do a campsite operation at a public curb side. Sure they've space in the back but well 9/11 changes and all.

Maybe you should see if there is a shoulder or rest stop nearby to be on the safe side?
