- 2gypsies1Explorer IIISorry it didn't work out but sometimes you just get 'that feeling'. You did the right thing and saved a lot of money. You'll find the right one for you.
Thanks for returning. It's always good to know how things turned out. - maddawg46ExplorerAll mute now. Seller got evasive answering my questions so I figured there was something not quite right. So, the deal is off. Bummer. But learned a lot of things from all of you for the next time. I put in lots of hours on the phone and Internet for this deal, but wasn't meant to be. Maybe the guy was a serial killer! LOL
I'm sure there is another dream coach just around the corner. - cruiserjsExplorerCity of Phoenix just (yesterday??) started to allow UBER and LYFT to pick up folks at Sky harbor airport. Sounds like they might be your best bet if the seller won't meet you.

Private party. I'll try an Enterprise in Mesa AZ. The airport is a no go.
My friends sold their MH to someone who flew in, they picked the buyers up from the airport, just a thought. - DownTheAvenueExplorerYou are making something very simple into something very complicated. Just take a taxi, Uber, or Lyft from the airport to the seller's location. Or save some money, and take the light rail from the airport to the closest station to the seller and then use Uber or Lyft. Easy peasy.
- Bruce_BrownModerator^^^ The rental car complex is away from the airport. You take a shuttle bus from the airport over to the rental hub. I thought it was going to be a pain, it turned out to be very painless. They have this one figured out.
Having said that, getting it back WOULD be an issue as there are a bunch of height restrictions around the complex.
Take a cab or if possible work with the seller. I know it's a private party sale, depending on the circumstances they may or may not be able to help. - RoyBExplorer IIX2 on having the RV dealership/Owner pick you up or using a Taxi from the from airport. May not be a good idea driving the motorhome to the Phoenix airport to pickup your wife returning a rental car haha... One of the rental car places is off the airport property as I recall that might work ok however...
I like the idea having the RV Dealership come meet you at the airport... Bet when you ask you will find out they do that all the time... Your RV dealer is probably in Mesa anyway which is along way from the airport... Thats a pretty big metroplex of three or fours towns all tied together called Phoenix haha... Lots of traffic... getting picked up will definitely help you out finding the dealership...
Roy Ken - toedtoesExplorer IIII like the idea of having the owner pick you up (you could offer to split the gas money). My thought is that it gives you an opportunity to learn more about him and his RV usage. A casual comment about the "camping opportunities in the Phoenix area" and you might find out he only takes it to visit the grandkids in Colorado or something. Keep it casual and non-pressure and he might provide info he wouldn't have otherwise.

After shelling out the bucks to buy a motorhome, it looks like the dealer should be willing to pick you up.
This.
x3 - 2gypsies1Explorer IIII'd ask the owner to pick you up. If he wants to sell it, he will.
