It's a replaced surge guard which lends one to believe it has already done it's job and protected the RV from a surge. Unfortunately that means it's probably now dead hence the replacement. I supposed you could strip it down and take the copper wire to a recycling center. But you're probably looking at a few pennies for the amount in there. If it was in my garage I would be sending it to the landfill or hazardous waste center.

After inspecting the back of this box. It does look like it has been installed before and the back housing is cracked. I guess what I was asking if the guts of the inside of this box has and value to anyone or should I just throw it away?

its hard to say, you could hold on to it for 3 years and in the end get 5 buck from some one, or just recycle it and its out of your shelf space. I kept my old one as I am looking for the replacement stuff for the inside so I can rebuild it and have a spare, or use it for a different setup, but if I didn't have a use for it, it would have went to the recycle depot.
