- abc40kidsExplorerI go camping to relax and for me that's not in a recliner looking up at the sky all day and in bed by 9:00.
I've only been camping since 2004 but have seen many projectors with sporting events and movies in many different campgrounds. I hope the ones that don't want to camp next to the op don't camp next to me either! We don't go crazy on our site but we do enjoy ourselves. I do have a projector, only used it twice, I liked the picture better on the 40" I brought from inside the camper to the outside. I also always have a campfire, I bet those same people hate campfires because we always make the smoke go towards their site.
We keep the noise down at night although if you are next to us you may here some talking because we don't go in at quiet time. All the grumps should get better night shades and a couple box fans will drown out all noise from outside.
To the op... Nice set-up!!! - portscannerExplorerAs long as you are not annoying anyone else - Go for it
This is another reason why I wish they wouldn't put those stupid decals on RV's - deleted-2ExplorerI was just thinking too,
Many of the newer trailers have outside entertainment centers with the television, sink, fridge, slideout cooktop and microwave.
Sometimes I wish we had the television outside (with no bugs on the screen) :) - longislandcampeExplorer

I've done it on the side of our RV while parked in the driveway but with all the negative comments I guess that's where the fun will have to stay! :0
Why, you're entitled to enjoy yourself too. How is a projector or a TV on the side of a camper hurting anyone as long as the tenants are quiet and the sound doesn't leave their site?
All I heard were positive reviews from the folks around us and those walking by. Many even stopped by to catch the score of the Knick game when I had it on during the rain delay in the race.
I wasn't breaking any rules as the park regulations don't say anything about this. I guess if the light from the projector bothers you then all campfires should be banned too! - -LqdskierExplorerI've done it on the side of our RV while parked in the driveway but with all the negative comments I guess that's where the fun will have to stay! :0
- deleted-2ExplorerI don't see anything wrong with a movie screen outdoors.
A few camps we've been to had the screen going for the kids around the campground.
If done with respect for others, and maybe even a friendly invite for neighbors then maybe it could just be a good time for all.
It's just a matter of asking the close by camps if they would mind IMO... - longislandcampeExplorer

Sounds like grouches. Maybe some of them should stay home. Campgrounds are for everyone. What they do within reason in a cililized manner should not bother most people.
It's OK, the projector only works when it's dark out and the grouches in this thread will have already been in bed by then. - DustytuuExplorerSounds like grouches. - jake2250ExplorerHere's a tip,, Harbor Freight has an 11x15 silver tarp for $17, makes a great screen!! I use tear drop fishing weight to hold it straight.
Also,, I might have to bring over a dozen Tiki Torches, had a camper complain about the smell of my Tiki's (24 of them),,, Really??
I do use my old 2 stroke gas from my bass boat,, but it helps keep the 'squitos away!!
The nerve of some people!!!! - jake2250ExplorerAwesome!!! Please have NASCAR night when I am camping!!! Great get together activity!!! And when they crank the sound up on a restart!! Yeah, I have a base that would rumble like you were there!!! Oh,, and I would have a camp fire that would rival a Jet Engine!!!
As long as you have an extra outlet for my blender!!!
I don't see an issue with that at all!!!
Keep it up,, the All American sport!!! Camping and NASCAR!!!!
