Pine sap removal from rubber roof on slide out

Have our 5er parked in a spot under a pine tree and noticed a significant amount of sap on one of the slides. Really don't want to drag through the seal before we leave next month. Suggestions for removal without damaging the rubber? Thanks.
  • I used to park my car under a pine tree and got lots of sap drops on the top of the car. What I used to get rid of it was butter.
Smear a bit of butter on each drop and then rub until it was gone. Then a good wash got rid of the butter that was left. Yeah, it was a bit of work, but worth it to me.
  • hum... well things like white gas, WD40, pam, naptha all will do a good job of removing pine sap. HOWEVER, petroleum distilates, which all of the previous are except pam, are NOT a good thing to put on a EPDM roof. Don't know if pam will be an issue or not.
