I agree with WD40. But the process isnt just spray it on and wipe it all off.
My experience is it has to be removed by several layer/applications.
- Spray it on. Wipe it off (only some comes off).
- Repeat the process and eventually it will all come off.
Same process with road-tar. Several layer/applications.
