I booked a trip for the 10th----19th, which encompasses 2 weekends. Asked if it would be a problem (didn't want to move mid-week), the lady was out of the office, but said she would confirm when she got back, but it would not be a problem. It isn't--reservation confirmed.
Do a trip week before labor day every year...CG is always empty.
CG's fill on holiday weekends with many people using the 3 day mini-vacation, and with limited budgets, very few people book two weeks in a row. This leaves weekend before/after a holiday wide open.
As for the 4th, DW will probably try to drag me out to a nearby fireworks display. UGGGHHHHHHH, can't we just stay home???? They show the ones in the city on the tv...I'll turn the surrond sound up real loud, it will be just like you are there!!!!!
