Pls explain the tow/haul engine braking on my Winnebago

Ok I’ve read that if going down a big hill tap the brake twice on the coach will slow down on its own ???
It’s a 2013 Itasca 26he with Ford v10
  • I have almost the same rig as you. You want to go down a hill at a comfortable speed without braking. Tapping the break puts the transmission into a lower gear, the engine rpm's speed up and the result is more drag and less speed.

Try pushing the button on the end of the shift lever next time you go downhill then press the breaks. It will become apparent immediately.
