There really is no excuse. Any of us with any symptoms that have quarantined "if" we weren't stocked up there were and are still neighbours and even folks on FB that offered to drop off supplies. NO EXCUSE, and no he won't be banned being a Canadian Citizen sadly. For sure should respect our Canadian Government trying to do what is believed best at this time to protect us all as much as possible. Our numbers have been rising in our province, and we are up fractionally in the past week or so on ICU occupants. 8 up to 9. Of the 8 beds occupied Dr Hinshaw (she's awesome we think!) said 4 were under 40 years of age, and of those tested 57% were in the 20 to 39 age range. Many folks are focused on death rates, but the long term effects of even having contracted this as most of us will in varying stages symptoms wise, will be the tell tale in the future. We still have ongoing effects months later in our family. Sadly too many are getting too lax in all this precautionary wise.
There's a couple of Canadians that have been RVing around the USA from doing a Mexico caravan that ended back in March and are due to cross the border in Ontario very soon, and on their blog posted that they think how strict the 14 day quarantine is is ridiculous ("house arrest"), and have arguments as to why it should be looser Alas, it is what it is due to some bad apples in the barrel that can't comply to precautions, and they should feel lucky they've been touring all over the USA since March with no repercussions is many folks thoughts that have read it.
Stay safe out there and applaud our officials for finally doing spot checks on quarantining. Sheesh it took them long enough to start doing so from initial advisories.
