I can understand your thought process to a point but other than maybe a wedding, the rest is what it is. We have friends that wanted to camp with us last year. We sat with them to plan and every weekend for 2 and a half months, they had plans, this birthday, that walk or fund raiser etc. at some point, at some age, it is time to stop having birthday parties.
That said, 2 years ago at age 49 I was diagnosed with treatable but un curable cancer so guess what, I do what I want when I want. We go camping 3 weekends every month May to Oct., if we miss something, oh well. My daughter is freaking because her due date for our first grandchild is Aug 4 and we are camping July 28- Aug 2. As the time get close we might change or cancel but for all we know she could be 2 weeks early or late. I am not sitting around waiting for anything because if I do it might be too late.
