Poor IT Management

The people at Good Sam/ Camping World etc cannot figure out how an email address I have been using for many years, magically changed names. I am now known as CLIFFORD CORDER. It's not likely that my email was hacked as no other sites that uses an email address has been affected.
This issue has been brought to their attention countless times. So, either they are incompetent, or they just don't give a ****. I can deal with incompetency, the other will not get GS a renewal of my membership.

    Read my post, it has been "looked into" countless times. Seems when I hang up the phone, all effort to correct this problem ends.
  • I agree. I had an online account (not a good sam company) somehow get the wrong name attached to it. Every time I got an email or bought something, that name was used. But it never affected my ability to purchase. I contacted the company's technical help and they had a heck of a time trying to figure out WHERE the problem was. It wasn't in the profile, it wasn't in the billing or address information. It was somewhere deep down in the system that required an actual programmer to fix. Fortunately, this was a small company whose tech support was most likely in the same room as the programmer. Had it been a big company, I doubt it would have been fixed as the contact between tech support and programming would be far more limited.
  • As a former IT guy, they really do need more info to troubleshoot. Contrary to popular belief, we're not issued magic wands when taking the position.

  • You can change the name of your post to simply "Poor MANAGEMENT" as it all starts at the top. Since the owner is only concerned with income, the entire company gave up on providing good and accurate customer service. GS used to be so good!!
