Is it out of the question to just put the PB INSIDE the camper while traveling and set it on the ground at the site?
At least on my trailer, it would be pretty impossible to get the portabote into the trailer. My bote is 12 ft long x about 2 ft high x 4"wide when folded. It weighs about 70 lbs. That's a pretty tough order to snake into the door and avoid the bedroom wall, kitchen cabinets, stove, etc. Also, I'm not sure I've got a good straight 12 feet where I could easily lay it down. And then there is the bashing of cabinet fronts, couches, etc. while trying to get it in and out.
In short, it may be possible, but it would be a nightmare scenario.
There are lots of ways to carry it. Mount on the side of TT, mount underneath TT, some people put a ladder cage on their pickup tow vehicle and mount it up there. If you have a motorhome and pull a toad, you can also put it on the roof of the toad.
If we have a lakeside campsite, we just put the boat together, put it in the water, and then tie up and leave it in the water the entire time we are there. If not at a lakeside site, we fold it up when done fishing and mount it back on the side of the trailer, which has a lockable mount. It is portable, after all and we don't want it to walk away. But yes, you could just leave it laying on the ground at your site. The material is pretty indestructable and laying on the ground won't hurt it.
