Portable battery jump starter

Hello folks,,had a battery die on me recently,,was lucky to get help jump starting it from a paserby motorist..

Got me thinking if driving somewhere in the outback alone if I should carry some kind of portable jump starter charger,,

theres seems to be huge selection of these and I have no idea which one to get..
If you have any recomendations Id apreciate hearing it..

    If its a gas engine you may be able to roll it over with one of those portable boosters, if its diesel I doubt it but it might work if it starts right away.

    Its for a truck V8 motor..
