I just ordered a connection kit from this place.
I've got a Weber Q100, and this kit screws onto where the regulator on the grill comes off. I got the Weber specifically because it could be converted to hook up to the low pressure outlet on the side of the RV. I've gotten tired of using the 1# bottles, and having them run out of fuel halfway through grilling a chop or steak.
Could not have said it any better as I too hate messing with the 1# bottles and running out of gas part way through grilling a rib eye.
Thank you very much for the link, that is EXACTLY the info I was looking for. You rock.
So you are getting good heat cooking with the grill hooked up that way? I'm asking because I thought the gas coming from the camper's regulator is lower pressure than a "standard" gas grill regulator.
I just got an adapter hose to hook my Weber Q up to a standard 20lb gas grill tank. It is a little heavy to move around, but since we grill all the time it is worth the extra effort for us. We usually set it up out from under the camper's awning on the campground's picnic table... and we carry a folding stand to use if a table is not available.
