Heck yeah, go for it. Sounds like a great deal and sets you up for future fun.
Loading wise, just don't go bananas on packing it full. No worry about localized loading on the floor since its in good shape. Especially since you kinda have to spread stuff out on the floor anyways. Can't really stack boxes etc and expect them to stay put like packing a moving van.
Just consider "where" you're putting all the weight. The weight bias of campers is considered with added weight where it "should be". Water tanks, storage areas, cabinets. Not in the floor space. So you don't have too heavy or light tongue weight.
