Preventing refrigerator fire on Norcold 1210

I won't respond to that because I have little respect for someone who builds his business on scare tactics and I have seen that MORE than once at his seminars. Being in public safety for 28+ years, I saw a totally different prospective.

The Texan, According to Mac the fire guy there are more engine fires in DP then in gas.

Not many on a DP, and when a fire starts near a fridge in the "middle" of a coach, it's a good bet it wasn't an engine fire.

My neighbors American Eagle just burnt up Wednesday night parked in his driveway. Fortunately no one was in there or got injured. It was just towed off today. Wish I would have snap a pic. Initial investigations point to Norcold fridge, but there is more investigation to be done. Fortunately we have a Dometic fridge in ours, but there is always a concern of fire. We are just about done with our RV garage & a fire like that would torch the garage as well.

The better part of his RV was gone in 15 min.

For what some are spending on the ARP, smoke detector and fire extinguisher, you would have a sizeable down payment on a residential refer. I sold my Norcold on Craigslist for $400.00. So all in all, you could add a residential unit for another $300.00.

Actually, I should be the one apologizing. I sometimes read through posts so quickly I end up reading things that are not there. I was thinking that 1210 was a date and you were saying that you have a near fire experience in the year 1210. Now that I slowed down and read you post more closely it makes since. To top it off the whole thread is about a fridge model 1210. Sorry, I'm bad. I'll blame it on being cooped up in the house in the winter and not out camping. (That would all be a lie but, I have to blame it on something,, right? It can't be my fault)

We need one of those "Sarcasm" signs that Leonard made for Sheldon. :)
