Probity RV in IA

Any buy from Probity RV in Walcott IA? They seem to have a couple of units that have floor plans I like, prices seem good and they seem to know how to sell to us Canucks ... any buy from there? Looking for some input.

Thanks

  • Run like a used car lot. Not a smile in the place when you walk in. Only expect a salesman to badger you before you look, then after you are done looking. You are on your own to find what you want to look at. Then I hope you don't have one to trade in....they will lowball you then suggest you try to sell it on your own. There are 7 other dealers within 30 miles of there, I would never deal with them
  • Just Google the model number. There prices seem well below what others are posting. Almost $20,000 under what others post as MSRP on the COLUMBUS 3400TH. $16,000 under the MSRP: $57,516 of the 34RLQS-6.
  • Since I am Canadian, I did ask specifically about warranty and this is what he said "We have sold countless hundreds of RVs to Canada. The warranty is valid in Canada and warranty work can be done at Palomino/Forest River dealers"
  • Probity RV is the same property as Cheyenne Camping Center and owned by the same person/family. They have been around since 1978 and have a good reputation, but I do not have any first-hand experience with them. The web site for Cheyenne looks almost the same as Probity, I wonder if this is some sort of a clearance/outlet equivalent????
  • I live within 15 minutes of Walcott and have never heard of Probity RV. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but must be a new dealer. I looked at their web site and it seems strange that they are not allowed to show brand names due to their low pricing. Makes me wonder how they handle warranty work and service after the sale. They do mention in the About section that they are owned by the Frazer family which makes me wonder if this is associated with Terry Frazer RV which has been around the area for years.
