Right again, if they don't unlock every RV on there lot every day, they don't want to sell.
Me and my co workers unlock every RV every morning and allow free roaming of the lot.
I also tell every person that comes in, I don't care who you buy your RV from, but if you have a question you can call me for an answer. All that matters is that you get the RV that is right for you.
This is why I am an RV Consultant, not a salesman. I am here to help you buy not sell you something.
I worked for a gentleman who sold high-end watches. I guess I was OK at sales, even though that wasn't my primary job, as people would call to talk to me. I'm a technical kind of guy, so I would talk the mechanics and whatnot, and I =do= like to talk. :-) When it came to numbers, though, that all went to El Jefe, even though I might have quoted a somewhat lower price than listed. Jefe also knew what 10 or 15 other guys were selling the same thing for, so he could cut a really fine line. :-) I realized early on, though, that I was simply not a "closer"; just not my schtick. I'd be honest with the customer about condition, give them a price and payment method, then go on to the next job and not worry about it if they turned it down.
