... In 40 yrs. of sales, I found customers that approach with this attitude are much more trouble than they are worth. They will take up your time and very seldom purchase anything. Most of the replies come from posters that have not purchased a new RV or if they did, it was 10 yrs. ago. I found in my experience, avoiding the "know it all customers" is much better than wasting your time with them. And, yes. I was top salesman in my field many times. :S
Yes, the informed customer is definitely more trouble than their worth. Especially since the world is full of neophyte's that can be taken full advantage of. And by the way, the feeling is mutual; salesdudes like you are to be avoided at all costs.
Just exactly the "attitude" I posted about. Another "know it all". I've already made my millions so you will not be encountering me. :B
You sound awesome! Do you have a fan club, or a blog we could follow. It might be helpful for us lesser beings to improve ourselves.
Unfortunately, in your case, maybe there are a few ghosts in the closet, when it comes to your self-described level of superiority. First there is the issue of integrity, as indicated by your admission that you misrepresented yourself to troll a thread.
"I am not quite as "naïve" as the post suggested. I have owned a few MH in the past 10 yrs. and know how to look for defects. I was hoping using my "innocent" demeanor" Were your exact words, IIRC Then there was that nagging issue of the feeling that your screen name seemed oddly familiar? Well a quick look through your posts (in the few weeks since you signed on) makes it pretty clear that you are quite the apologist, when it comes to jumping on threads of those who have been screwed by CW, and defending the indefensible.
Care to man up and tell us why you are really here? Assuming that you are indeed a multi-millionaire retired salesman with no ties to CW?
to misquote a bit of Shakespeare, "methinks thou doth protest too much" and I'm not buying it.
