Progressive industries ems 30hw hums
I just installed a progressive industries ems30hw surge protector and it makes a humming or buzzing noise do others find this to be true.

- I can tell you why it hums.. But if it is annlying give PI a call and talk to them.. (OH, I also knwo how to stop it but.. Well, that might void the warranty)

It's the contactor in there that does that. and maybe the transformer that reduces the voltage for the external display. I don't find it to be distracting. - If it's REALLY loud, to the point of being annoying, contact PI. It would be the contactor relay that hums and they are easily replaced in the field. PI has really good customer service.
EDIT
I have the 50A version installed in my MH. I can hear it if I stick my head into the electrical bay, but I can't hear it from anywhere inside the MH. - Yes, they all make some noise!
