But folks transport portable cylinders inside their vehicles all the time.......odds are OK
How many times are those 1# bottles placed inside vehicle, along with
gas' cylinders for blow torches, wire welders, etc.
100000s of times.
Folks in that SUV would most likely have been A-OK IF they had checked the grill being OFF (probably got bumped ON when they loaded it into SUV)
BUT still a danger to transport ANY explosive gas inside vehicle.....gasoline, propane, butane etc.
Relief valve CAN open at any time. And if laying on it's side LIQUID instead of vapor can spew out.
Odds are in your favor NOTHING will happen
BUT........
