Getting on the OP about transporting his tanks in an SUV is absurd. Shame on you people.
If there is a leaky tank, via whatever valve, creates a major hazard no matter where its placed for transport. 9 out of 10 people I bet have no option but to put it in their car/SUV/Van somewhere.
And technically, the trunk of a car is MORE confined then the back of the SUV. Any small spark (brake lights?) would trigger a much bigger problem.
Let's say you're Mr.Safety and transported your leaking tank home on a trailer hitch rack and put it in your garage overnight. What happens in the morning when you hit the garage door opener?
Point is...a leaky tank (bleeder or OPD checkvalve) is a big problem no matter how its transported. So lay off this guy.
