Proper Hitch Height
I have a GMC Yukon Denali with auto-ride leveling, and using Fastway E2 Trunnion Equalizing System. Once I have hooked up to my trailer, and let the load leveler balance my vehicle, equalizer system attached. Should the trailer be level with the vehicle or tilted to be slightly heavier on the tug and hitch? The hitch has adjustable shank, and it is in the lowest application point. In this configuration it appears that the trailer is level with vehicle, however I am having issues with swaying. When in High winds or HEAVY truck traffic it seems to be a BIG Hazard. I have adjusted the spacers, tried to raise the equalizer bar brackets to see if tightening or even relaxing the weight transfer with Little to NO help with control. I'm thinking that with the ride control leveler on my vehicle is causing the weight to transfer back to the trailer and not letting the sway control of the E2 System to function properly. Would it help to get another hitch shank that will let me lower the set-up a couple more inches to keep the weight on the hitch and WD System? Not VERY comfortable driving at SLOW speeds, much less at 65 mph.
