I am the original poster of Proper Protocol for "Complimentary Roof Inspection".
So I need an education about "soft spots" on roof sealant caulking (again - my TT is 3 years old). If these appear as a slightly raised soft bubble, which is intact, does this mean I need to redo these specific areas on the roof?
Regarding the now existing holes in the caulking, which were not there when I cleaned the TT roof this past fall, and which I then covered with a full length RV heavy duty vinyl cover during the winter - I am at a loss to explain the gouged holes in the caulking, which only appear in 2 soft spots. It is curious the now exposed holes in the caulking are bright white, and all the other caulking on the roof is darker, discolored from weathering.
Again, the RV Service Center, which performed the "Complimentary Roof Inspection", indicated ALL the roof caulking needed to be removed and redone. They refused my request to do a job to selectively redo the two caulking gouges, and quoted a repair cost of $1300 to remove and redo all the caulking sealant.
How do I attach photos ? Clicking on the above image icon specifies adding a URL - what URL? the photos are on my pc.
thanks again for any advice.
