Proper Use of an Infrared Temp Gun

I saw an audio/visual presentation where the presenter used his IR temp gun as a laser pointer. Who knew you could measure temperature with one of these things?

I bought one because of you guys :).

Used it yesterday to check my laundry dryer to see if thermostat was working now. Clothes at 143 degrees -- just perfect!

I bought mine to check for radiator blockage when I was having overheating problems. So far so good radiator is 20 years old with no blockage.

One of my sons uses his to measure the temperature of oil in a skillet when he fries something.

I bought mine to keep tabs on wheel/hub temps; this info is like getting a 'two-fer.'

I couple of degrees lower, and it would have been ice cold. ;)
