To make sure the stinger goes in the hitch correctly, do NOT turn you truck steering wheel the last 5 to 10 feet as you back up. I lay a rope down from the hitch along the line I want the stinger to travel. Then all I need to do is keep the stinger over the rope.
I am sure other posting talk about other ways to get the stinger in the hole straight.
