All of my expensive electronics and computers are protected by either a surge protector or a UPS - so yes - with the exception of the appliances. But then, if something happens to them, it's a much more easy problem to solve.
I forgot to mention that of course all of my expensive appliances are protected with surge protectors or a UPS.
