I too prefer the Protect-a-Tow, or the similar Roadmaster Tow Defender, which is what I use.

Exactly. Now after at a guess 25,000 kilometers the front of DW's 2011 Jeep Wrangler still looks like new. We tried the other stuff with poor results. We even removed the full width heavy rubber shield because if (when( it touched the road it would kick up gravel and sand.
