Protection of solar panels

For those of you who live in snow country, how do you protect your solar panels from snow and ice build-up during the winter months. I live in west central Wyoming where we can get upwards of 100" of snow during the winter. Of course during the winter some of the snow will melt but it is still possible to have some snow on the trailer roof throughout the winter. My trailer sits at my home uncovered.
  • I don't worry about the panels at all. I do worry about the rest of the roof sometimes. I just clear off what I can with a push broom usually. We are expected to be on the high side of 32F for the first time in 6 or 7 weeks in the next day or so. I'm going to turn on the heat and run an electric heater to melt it all off while I've got the chance.
  • I let them get covered in snow, have been doing this for 9 years now with no ill effects.
