I have one of the "jar" banks with a top that records and counts coins that are put in. Quarters go in Blood test strip bottles to save for campground laundrys, all other change goes in the jar and is counted until its full. On the Road, we have a change bottle in the bedroom, where I empty all my change each day. At a bridge toll plaza, with no place to turn around and nothing bur credit cards in my wallet, the laundry quarters and change bottle saved us by 50 cents. It was tight, but a wonderful way to totally Pi-- off a toll booth attendant!
