As I am reading these posts I just remembered that a local shell station had their diesel tank filled with gas. Sounds like a couple trucks filled up before someone clued in. Not sure what else came of it. Pretty expensive mistake for someone.
A couple years ago the newspaper had a story about a station that I use when working in the area had their gas tank filled with jet fuel.
Cars were dying about a block or two away before it was realized it was the station.
From what I remember about a follow up story the paper did, the station was given a massive fine and had to pay for all the car repairs. The article didn't come right out and say it, but it was insinuated by state inspectors that them dumping in the jet fuel wasn't an innocent mistake by the station's owners.
