In the end, unless you have a long, and positive relationship with your current local dealer, and had them agree explicitly that they would give you timely warranty service even on a rig you did not buy from them, I would pay more for a rig actually bought from my local dealer because you WILL have warranty issues and most dealers will bump you to the back of the line (if they let you in line at all) should you have a warranty claim on a rig bought elsewhere.
And while you are waiting months for a warranty repair, during a short use season, ask if saving a few grand was worth it, or having it a few weeks sooner.
And even if you have a local CW that could cover the warranty, as you have read here, I wouldn't consider them a reliable warranty center.
Stick with your trusted, reliable local dealer and push them to get more competitive on price to make up for the wait.
