You need to tell us what make and model of pump you put in.
Some just are VERY noisy......and how they are mounted makes a difference too.
If the noise you hear is a loud growling sound within a second or two after turning OFF the water flow, that's probably normal. Most I've heard are fairly quiet when the water is actually flowing.
