A few years ago my BIL bought a new $$$ Airstream Interstate built on the Sprinter 3500 chassis.
He sold it in a couple of years due to too many service problems with the Mercedes chassis. I helped him fix one of the problems and ruined a jacket in the process.
Quality is in the eye of the beholder and spending big bucks is in no way a guarantee of it. What spending big bucks does pretty much predictably is buy a lot of bling, and a lot of folks confuse bling with quality.
