I bought this RV hose at Lowes. It was packaged up pretty good and I could only see one end. I noticed that the end had more metal in it than you usually see and thought it was better quality than usual.It was not until I was camping that I noticed the defect.

I have always dreamed about camping with two females. But in my case one was my wife and the other was my dog. Much better than your situation.

That's something that (fortunately) you don't see every day. :S

Extra long washing machine hose? :B

Does the instruction sheet say: "adapter may be required"?

WRONG !!! Hose threads are not the same as pipe threads. A close nipple has a pipe thread on both ends.

EDIT 2. Garden hose connectors have 11.5 threads/inch, NPT (National Pipe Thread) for the same outer diameter pipe has 14 threads/inch.

You oughta keep the hose as a novelty conversation piece. You could also use it by screwing a threaded close nipple into your RV water inlet.

This hose would make perfect sense if the hose connection on the RV was a male. Having that combination would also make getting a water-tight seal much easier and make repairing any leaks easier as all the moving parts and seals would be on the hose!
