If you are sick you will know it, symptoms are like the flu and include bad headache and loss of taste, but check the list as not everyone has every symptom. There's much to be thankful for these days, including the recent news that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted emergency use authorization for the administration of COVID-19 vaccines. Based on national guidance, receipt of the initial supply of vaccines is being prioritized for those at greatest risk of exposure, including healthcare workers and long-term care facility residents.
For now, it is too early to know when we may have additional guidance around vaccine availability for our patients and community. Stay informed about vaccination developments, including those specific to our health network, on our COVID-19 Resource Hub.
In the meantime, please continue to take precautions and follow the guidance of your local health department and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), including wearing a mask, practicing good hand hygiene and maintaining social distancing, to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
