Nowadays, people go the first time out of curiosity.
The old timers like the climate, the desert, the price and the big shopping "fair" or whatever you want to call it. Anything and everything related to camping, rving, rock hounding, etc.
I am not taken with it. Too many people and it can be dusty and it can get cold.
But it's an interesting overnight stop to check out the flea market merchandise.
