Comparing it to Sturgis for RV'ers is probably a pretty good analogy. How about Burning Man for old folks? As noted you have to see it to appreciate the event. The RV show in the big (70,000 square foot tent), is our favorite stop. A couple of days boon docking out in the desert, which we do several times a year anyway, is just part of the fun. The most fun might just be being two of the youngest folks in a sea of geezers (we are 62 & 63). :E
If you have a new rig in your future the RV sales show surrounding the big tent should give you lots of choices and the hundreds (thousands?), of booths scattered all over town will sell you anything that you might have missed back in the big tent. Lots of interesting folks and food, probably the greatest people watching location this side of Vegas. You don't have to do it twice but you really "Have" to see it at least once. :B
