I am from the east and lived in the desert of California for a few years. I loved it here. Took my wife and daughter out there for vacation (Los Angeles) a couple years ago. It took a couple days , but the beauty and diversity of it finally grew on her. There's nothing like the peace and solitude of being out there and hearing nothing but athe wind and possibly the call of a raven or yip of a coyote.
