Been a member long enough to see the words "goin' to QuartzSite" pop up so often that it seems like I should know what folks are talking about. I finally looked it up and it looks like a Giant ...

No grass for dogs, just stickers, cactus and sharp rocks. I think westerners are more acclimated to the desert and lack of greenery. It makes sense for someone from Montana to winter there than to drive to Florida. I am from the east. I want green stuff.
I am from the east and lived in the desert of California for a few years. I loved it here. Took my wife and daughter out there for vacation (Los Angeles) a couple years ago. It took a couple days , but the beauty and diversity of it finally grew on her. There's nothing like the peace and solitude of being out there and hearing nothing but athe wind and possibly the call of a raven or yip of a coyote.
