Question 2 - What are the cons for your situation?

Distance. Getting to the trailer is a 1/2 car ride followed by a 1 1/2 hour plane ride, then a 5 hour layover followed by another 45min plane ride, then a 1 hour land shuttle to where our truck has been left for us, finally 15 minutes to where the trailer is stored.

By now it is a total of something like 13 hours since we walked out of our house.

The good news is that every trip is at least a few months long before another day long trip back home.
