The inverter does not produce power.
Battery power in Direct Current (DC) form is provided to the inverter which the converts it to Alternating Current (AC) which is the form your fridge needs to run.
Once your batteries reach a critical level the generator should kick on to recharge them.
I do not own an MH so I am assuming that your refrigerator would run at least 8 hours without compromising your batteries. Remember that is dependent on what ever drain is placed on them from other loads.
If you store in your driveway just unplug the MH turn on the fridge and see how long before the generator kicks in.
MH are not cheap and it makes no sense to produce one that is not capable of supporting itself for reasonable periods of time.
